MTV Is Giving Actual Royals Their Own Reality TV Show ‘Cos Why Not?

Scott Disick, otherwise known as The Lord may have a new reality TV show coming up but in the coming months a number of real “young royals and aristocrats” will make the noble sacrifice of their sacred privacy to gift us mere peasants an insight into their lives. Yes, yes, MTV International has ordered the reality TV series The Royal World.

The royal wedding between Megan Markle and Prince Harry brought in a shit ton of views (money, so much money) so in light of this, MTV is looking to make bank.

Per The Hollywood Reporterthere’ll be six episodes – each an hour long – and beautifully unscripted.

The show description reads:

“The series will have inside access to the cast’s lavish family homes and elite circles and will explore the lives of the pedigreed and privileged, including the ups and downs of life as 20-somethings finding their way in the world.

The cast, which will be announced at a later date, includes aristocrats with lineage rooted in the United Kingdom, Russia, Austria, Nigeria, Ireland and more – in addition to a ‘royally connected” American’.”

By ‘”royally connected” American’ I assume they mean Lord Disick.

BUT WAIT, you’re about to lose it real good with this next bit:

“…an original format that invites viewers inside the exclusive, unfiltered lives of young royals and aristocrats from around the globe as their worlds collide in a British countryside mansion.”

…THEIR WORLDS COLLIDE IN A BRITISH COUNTRYSIDE MANSION.

Folks, this is a royal Big Brother, Love Island, Bachelor in Paradise extravaganza.

Production company Initial AKA EndemolShine UK AKA the people who actually made Big Brother are behind the show making this 10 times more wild.

The series is set to debut later this year in 180 countries outside the United States so surely we must be in there somewhere.
