GET DAD: A Metric Tonne Of ‘Monty Python’ Is Heading To Netflix In April

If you’re not very keen on the phrase “NI!” being shouted at you or anyone farting in your general direction, you might want to tune out now. But for those of you not resting or pining for the fjords, this is gonna be more exciting than an unexpected assault from the Spanish Inquisition.

The good mates at Netflix Australia have revealed that their April schedule of releases is being stuffed to the freakin’ gills full of a massive collection of Monty Python.

The borderline essential British comedy troupe arrives on Netflix next month with a giant stack of titles that’ll have you all thinking the sun shines out of Netflix’s asshole.

And when we say “a stack,” we literally mean it; the amount of Python titles Netflix is adding virtually covers the entire Python back catalogue.

This includes their string of cult favourite and comedically iconic films like Holy Grail and Life of Brian.

It also sports live films spanning both the group’s heyday and their latter year reunion specials like Live at the Hollywood BowlLive at AspenThe Meaning of Live, and Live (Mostly): One Down, Five to Go.

But above all else it’s got the TV series. The whole lot of it. Flying Circus in its entirety. Hell, it’s even got the made-for-German-TV specials Fliegender Zirkus in there to boot.

Couple that with a whole mess of docos and collections and whatnot and… y’know what? Just peep the full list of Python stuff below.

  • Monty Python and the Holy Grail
  • Monty Python Best Bits (Mostly): Season 1
  • Monty Python Conquers America
  • Live (Mostly): One Down, Five to Go
  • Before the Flying Circus
  • Live at Aspen
  • Live at the Hollywood Bowl
  • The Meaning of Live
  • Monty Python’s Almost the Truth
  • Monty Python’s Fliegender Zirkus: Season 1
  • Monty Python’s Flying Circus
  • The Life of Brian
  • Monty Python’s Personal Best: Season 1
  • Parrot Sketch Not Included: Twenty Years of Monty Python
  • The Meaning of Monty Python
  • Eric Idle’s What About Dick?

Every single one of those is set to hit Netflix on April 15th. Hot bloody damn.

The full list of Netflix’s April releases is due to drop tomorrow, so hold onto your hats until then. But this alone should be enough to have you nibbling at the croquet hoops.

My personal favourite sketch? RAF Banter.

Ruddy brilliant.
