The O.C.‘s Mischa Barton has given us our first out of body experience/slap in the noughties face in the form of a photo with The Hills: New Beginnings co-stars Audrina Patridge and Stephanie Pratt.

Last week, after a cheeky source told Us Weekly that Barton had joined the cast of the rebooted series, the 32-year-old confirmed the news herself in an Instagram video captioned: “The secret’s out… I’m joining the cast of The Hills. When MTV approached me with the chance to be a part of the reality show that was inspired by The OC, it felt like the perfect opportunity for an irresistibly inviting new chapter.”
The iconic tune ‘Unwritten’ by Natasha Bedingfield can be heard playing in the background.

It’s happening, it’s really happening.
Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Justin Bobby Brescia, Jason Wahler, Whitney Port, Brody Jenner and his wife Kaitlynn Carter are all locked in for the reboot, too.
It’s still unclear just how the new series will play out but since most of the OG stars are married with kids now, expect a lot of cute family time.
Unfortunately OG narrator, Lauren Conrad who dated/”dated” Jenner on the show will not be returning for the revival. Kristin Cavallari (narrator numero deux), and Lo Bosworth won’t be returning either but hey, there might be a sneaky cameo somewhere in there like that alternate The Hills ending.
