Here’s Your Friendly Reminder That ‘Mindhunter’ Season 2 Finally Hits Netflix Tomorrow

Mindhunter

In case you need a little reminding, Mindhunter season 2 finally drops on Netflix tomorrow, August 16. It feels so good to type that.

In season 2, your favourite slightly disturbed FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) return with consultant Dr. Wendy Carr (Aussie actor Anna Torv) to delve even deeper into the psyches of serial killers.

In season 1 we were introduced to the terrifying Ed Kemper (Cameron Britton), the suspected BTK Killer Dennis Rader (Sonny Valicenti), and a number of other monsters like Jerry Brudos (Happy Anderson), and Richard Speck (Jack Erdie).

Season 2 will primarily focus on the horrific Atlanta Child Killings, a series of murders committed in 1979 to 1981. On the interview side of things, Holden and Bill are also granted some face time with Charles Manson, who Kemper describes as “small, like really small” in the trailer. The infamous cult leader is played by Aussie bloke Damon Herriman. This is his second stint as Manson, after he starred in Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.

(Manson was 1.57 metres, if you’re curious.)

Mindhunter is directed by David Fincher of Gone Girl and Zodiac, Andrew Dominik (Killing Them Softly, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford), and Carl Franklin (The Leftovers, House of Cards).

Tomorrow.

If you haven’t been able to binge / re-binge Mindhunter season 1 in time, I’ve put together a recap of all the disturbing shit that happened. It’ll be up on the site tomorrow, when it’s… okay to slack off a bit towards the end of the Good Day.
