That Wild Maccas Monopoly Scam Is Already Becoming A Movie & Ben Affleck’s Involved

There’s absolutely no rest for the McWicked, it seems and Hollywood dream team Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have reportedly already signed on to make a true crime story flick about the McDonald’s Monopoly heist that was reported just days ago via The Daily Beast.

The untitled flick tells the story of how ex-cop Jerome Jacobson rigged the McDonald’s Monopoly game and walked away with $24 million dollars which he shared with a group of shady as sin co-conspirators.

Affleck is set to direct the flick while Damon stars as an undisclosed character (presumably the robber himself), with the story written by Jeff Maysh, produced by The Pearl Street partners and Deadpool scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese penning the script.

Insiders told the publication that bidding for the film was v. v. v. fierce, with a list of top names lining up including Universal for Kevin Hart, Warner Bros for John Requa and Glenn Ficarra and Steve Carell and producer Andrew Lazar, and Netflix, which bid for producing partners Eric Newman and Bryan Unkeless, Robert Downey Jr and Susan Downey, and Todd Phillips.

No word yet as to when production on the flick is set to start but as the fast food giant’s slogan reads, “I’M LOVIN’ IT”.
