A Bunch Of New Marvel TV Shows Are Coming If You Still Crave More Loki

If you’re one of those people who desire more Marvel content than the already generous three-films-per-year schedule provides you, then you are very much in luck: according to Variety, multiple Marvel series are in development for Disney‘s new streaming service.

Though neither Marvel or Disney confirmed the reports, it is believed that the shows will probably focus on lesser characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon, like Loki and Scarlet Witch. It seems like it might be a means of giving some breathing room to characters who are yet to receive their own movies for whatever reason.

this, but on your telly

Note that these have nothing to do with the work Marvel has been doing with Netflix – Daredevil, Jessica JonesLuke Cage etc – which will continue to live on Netflix even after the new streaming service launches. The connection of those shows to the MCU has always been pretty fast and loose anyway, and there’s no real idea as to whether or not they’ll continue into the future once Disney has their own platform.

It is believed that the actors who play these characters in the movies – including Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen – would reprise their roles in the series.

There’s no official announcement as yet, but we can probably expect to hear more as we learn more about Disney’s proposed service.
