Mark Ruffalo Spoiled The Climax Of ‘Infinity War’ In 2017 And Nobody Noticed

A July 2017 interview with Avengers: Infinity War star Mark Ruffalo has resurfaced days in the wake of the film’s record-setting release, after Marvel-obsessives realised that, uh… old mate spoiled the ending almost a year ago.

Speaking to Good Morning America with co-star Don Cheadle, Ruffalo expounded on the tendency for Marvel films to feature bittersweet endings.

After the interviewer said “somebody always bites. Or somebody always gets really badly hurt,” Ruffalo responded “wait ’til you see the next one. Ha-, everybody dies.”

Cheadle piped up with a “dude!” and Ruffalo realised he may have massively fucked up. The footage sure is something:

Fortunately for him, it kind of played out as a joke. Still, if he hadn’t stopped himself from saying “half”, he would have faithfully described the film’s ending, which sees half of all life in the universe disintegrated by big baddie Thanos.

Yes, that includes half of the Marvel hero roster.

Some folks have even gone back to question the original assumption the bit was all a joke:

Elsewhere, folks gave been roasting the film’s final scenes, which saw heroes like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther disintegrate into nothing.

One more thing that probably disintegrated: Ruffalo’s ability to do interviews without extensive media coaching on not revealing massive spoilers.
