Your Girl Maisie Williams Just Let Slip When ‘Game Of Thrones’ Is Returning

Maisie Williams, otherwise known as junior sociopath Arya Stark, has let slip when Game Of Thrones will finally be coming back to our screens, and we now have a semi-confirmed date for the show’s return: April of 2019.

The 20-year-old actress was speaking to UK publication Metro when she casually reveled the return date for Thrones, saying:

“We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April. That’s a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes. There’s a lot that goes into the final edit. You would not want to rush this season at all. We owe it to our audience and our fans to really do this final season to the best of our abilities.”

In an earlier interview with The Irish Times, Williams, who has been on Thrones since the age of 12, spoke about her career prospects when the show wraps up.

She voices a character in the animated film Early Man and has recently completed work on the X-Men horror film The New Mutants, but says she is skeptical of “sexualized” Hollywood, telling the publicaion:

“It’s only now I’m starting to realize the characters that are available to me because of the way I look and the characters that aren’t available to me. It’s a very shallow industry. And I don’t look like someone who is cast in roles that are, well, sexualized. Don’t get me wrong. I’m completely in awe of Hollywood’s leading ladies. I love looking at those totally jaw-droppingly beautiful women. But I think it’s sad that you only get to see one type of beautiful on screen.”

Anyway, thank you for clearing that up, Maisie Williams. At least now we know that we have only a year and a bit longer to wait to see who wins or does not win the Game Of Thrones.
