In case you somehow managed to miss the news, Tracey Jewel – extremely long-suffering ‘wife’ of Married At First Sight‘s Dean Wells (she stuck with him through the Davina cheating scandal, as well as his disparaging remarks during ~boys night~ about her physical attractiveness) finally gave him the ol’ heave-ho in a spectacularly savage episode last night.
The dramatic split seemed to come out of nowhere for old Deano, but was very much a female empowerment moment. Seriously. Tracey’s speech was epic.
“This experiment has reminded me that when I love a person I must not forget to take care of myself too, that I trust too easily. This experiment has shaken me awake and helped me see what I’m worth and unfortunately Dean, you don’t deserve me.”
She hit it and quit it. 💔 #MAFS pic.twitter.com/feeXJqVaOb

YES GIRL.
Anyway. The only thing that could have possibly overshadowed last night’s brilliant take-down of Dean was this very subtle moment that, thankfully, eagle-eyed fans picked up on immediately.
I’m sorry. Let’s zoom in on that, shall we?
THAT IS. A FRAMED PICTURE. OF OPRAH WINFREY.
Just a casual framed Oprah pic in Tracey’s abode.
I also sleep with a framed photo of Oprah beside my bed. #MAFS

I need to get a framed signed photo of Oprah pronto. She is a goddess who gave Tracey super strength powers to dump Dean. #mafs pic.twitter.com/TTwFchMtNp

“With time running out, Tracey turns to her patron saint Oprah to ask for advice.” #MAFS

Oprah would absolutely tell Tracey that “you teach people how to treat you” fyi#mafs

Think Tracey, what would Oprah do?
Make a handbag out of Dean probably. #MAFS

Honestly, nothing could be more wonderful than this. Unless she had a framed picture of, say, Karl Stefanovic.
In the end, I truly do believe Tracey harnessed the godly powers of Oprah to gain the strength she needed to vanquish Dean’s love from her heart forever.
Once again, Oprah saved humanity.
