The ‘Looking For Alaska’ Series Will Stream On Stan Next Month So Prepare For Peak Angst

Looking for Alaska

Hotly-anticipated series Looking For Alaska will premiere in Australia come October 19, thanks to the local legends at Stan. You guys, that’s less than a month away, and the same day as the US gets it so we’re not even missing out on anything.

Based on the John Green novel of the same name, Looking For Alaska introduces us to Miles “Pudge” Halter (Charlie Plummer) as he enrols in a boarding school to go and “seek a Great Perhaps” – otherwise known as a deeper perspective on life. There, he meets and falls in love with Alaska Young (Kristine Froseth), and finds a group of loyal friends. But when an unexpected tragedy strikes, Miles and his mates are left to pick up the pieces.

Denny Love, Jay Lee, Landry Bender, Sofia Vassilieva, Uriah Shelton, and Jordan Connor. Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us) and Timothy Simons (Veep) co-star.

And don’t worry, Green served as an executive producer on the show so expect a faithful adaptation.

All eight episodes of Looking For Alaska will premiere October 19 on Stan.

LOCK IT IN.

That trailer really is just three minutes of teen angst.

Also, if you sort of recognise Froseth it’s because she also starred in Netflix’s Sierra Burgess Is A Loser. Plummer is known for the films All the Money in the World and The Clovehitch Killer.

As for other glorious Stan content, expect RuPaul’s Drag Race UK (October 4), All American (October 8), and Get Shorty (October 7) to pop up on the streaming service next month too.
