Netflix Is Hyping ‘Black Mirror’ Season 5 With 3 New Mini-Eps On YouTube

Little Black Mirror

Here’s something quite interesting: Netflix and YouTube have teamed up to bring you three original shorts ahead of the premiere of Black Mirror season five. It’s called Little Black Mirror and has a whole bunch of YouTube stars in it.

Sure, the YouTuber bit might make ya a little sceptical but it does sound curious for that exact reason.

The three mini-stories took inspiration from Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones‘ anthology series and, according to Variety, are aimed at a Spanish-speaking audience. It stars our very own Maia Mitchell from the iconic Mortified series (also The Fosters and The Last Summer), Rudy Mancuso, Juanpa Zurita, Lele Pons, Anwar Jibawi, Hannah Stocking, Jeff Wittek, Delaney Glazer, and Alesso.

The episodes will be released on the Netflix América Latina YouTube channel (so, we’re pretty sure it’s free) on May 26, June 2, and June 9.

Meanwhile, the three-episode fifth season of Black Mirror will hit Netflix next month.

Gear up for Miley Cyrus, Anthony Mackie, Topher Grace, Pom Klementieff, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Damson Idris, Andrew Scott, Nicole Beharie, Madison Davenport, Ludi Lin, and absolute champ Angourie Rice.

In episode one, titled Smithereens, Sherlock star Scott plays a disturbed rideshare driver who spirals out of control during one particular trip. In episode two, Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too, Cyrus stars as a famous singer named Ashley who voices a very advanced little robot called Ashley Too. In episode three, Striking Vipers, a husband (Mackie) grows distant from his wife as they try for a second baby.

The mind-melting will commence on June 5.
