A Star is Born has been nominated for eight (8!!!) Oscars. That’s Best Picture, Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Original Song.

In no surprise whatsoever, both Gaga and Cooper are hot fan faves in their categories.

Already, Gaga was crowned a dual winner at the Critics Choice Awards for best actress and Shallow took home best song at the Golden Globes.

The Academy officially announced the news on Twitter earlier today.

The blessed news comes less than a week after Gaga and Cooper performed ‘Shallow’ during Gaga’s Enigma show in Las Vegas.

Earlier, the Academy announced Jennifer Hudson will perform the Oscar-nominated song ‘I’ll Fight’ from RBG – a documentary about Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Fellow nominee, ‘The Place Where Lost Things Go’ from Disney‘s Mary Poppins Returns will also be performed by a “surprise special guest”.

We will cry if it’s Julie Andrews.

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings will also take to the Oscar stage to sing the nominated song ‘When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings’ from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’.

If you’re counting, that’s four out of the five nominees for best original song.

The fifth? Kendrick Lamar and SZA‘s ‘All the Stars’ from Black Panther. There’s still no word yet on whether or not the duo will perform the song but considering every other nominee will be, it should only be a matter of time before the Academy announces the news.

The 91st Academy Awards will take place Sunday February 24… so Monday for us.
