Jeong, who you might recognise from Community is currently soaking up the bloody rich goodness from the fanfare of Crazy Rich Asians – which he stars in alongside an impressive and all-Asian cast from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore.

Oh, and we can’t forget his iconic role in The Hangover series as one Leslie Chow.

Amazing.

Per The Hollywood Reporterthe show’s got a working title by the name of Ken Jeong: First Date which will have the actor take us on his life journey from doctor to comedy, through his wife’s battle with breast cancer, and his acting career.

Back in 1995, Jeong obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree which was actually the same year he won the Big Easy Laff-Off. Following this performance, the now 49-year-old started running shows at places like The Improv and Laugh Factory comedy clubs over in Los Angeles and the rest is history.

The legend told THR: “I am thrilled to work with Jon again, and his brilliant cinematic eye will capture the energy and excitement of my first stand-up special.”

For the special, Jeong will hit the stage at Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, California where he first got his comedy start come September 15.

Ken Jeong: First Date is set to hit Netflix in 2019.

Meanwhile, Chu posted the best Instagram ever: I told my mom I’m working with a Doctor on my next project so she would be proud of my life choices. #KenJeongNetflixSpecial hope she’s ready for what the doctor ordered…

Epic.
