Yes, it is true. If you are just realising your dedication to this globally beloved boy band – BTS rap and sing! – led by RM, then there are two movies that you can watch like today. You could go home from work and purchase a copy of Burn the Stage: The Movie, released last year, or live concert flick Love Yourself In Seoul, from January, sit down and watch ’em, in anticipation of this new flick.

Some trivia for you: Last year, the global release of Burn the Stage: The Movie earned $18.5 million at the box office, becoming the highest grossing global event cinema release ever.

Directed by Park Jun SooBring the Soul: The Movie offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, at an intimate rooftop afterparty the day after their Paris Love Yourself show in October 2018.

Last week, Channel 9‘s 20 to One brought on the wrath of BTS stans when it dismissed the group – and their billions of YouTube views – as a “global craze“. The segment was widely read as xenophobic and disrespectful.

Their actions inspired the globally trending hashtags #Channel9Apologise and #Channel9Apologize, as well as #FireAlexWilliamson, when the self-described ‘offensive’ comic called the BTS fanbase “cuntz“.

Bring the Soul: The Movie screens in selected cinemas from August 7. Tickets go on sale July 3 from HERE. MIC DROP.
