According to Entertainment Weekly, Van Ness will guest star as Bruce – a former skater turned famous choreographer from Michigan. Of course, Jonathan’s character is described as “larger-than-life” which only makes sense.

Two-time Olympian Johnny Weir, Kaya Scodelario (Effy from Skins), and Evan Roderick (Arrow) will also star in the series.

Scodelario will play Kat, a former solo skater determined to revive her career by teaming up with bad boy Justin (Roderick) in the paired skater field. Bruce will “create Kat and Justin’s main competitors’ program and have some fun confusing his clients along the way.”

Van Ness announced the excellent news on Instagram earlier today.

“Huge major #jvnskates news. She is euphoric to announce that she has joined the cast of @spinningoutnetflix coming soon #spinningout”

HYPE.

To give you some idea of just how devoted Van Ness is to figure skating, check out this promo he did a lil’ while ago for his stand-up comedy tour Road to Beijing. In it, Van Ness teamed up with legendary figure skater champion Michelle Kwan.

Van Ness is a y’huge fan of Kwan so this video meant everything to him.

Road to Beijing is in reference to the angel’s attempt to become a skating whizz in time for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Again, you are 3000000 per cent missing out if you’re not following Van Ness on Instagram.

Anywho, Queer Eye season three is right around the corner – March 15.
