Cinnamon Roll Jonathan Groff Recorded A Special ‘Frozen’ Song For Jimmy Fallon’s Kids

Jonathan Groff

I just binged Mindhunter season 1 so Jonathan Groff is Holden Ford and only Holden Ford to me. I know he started off on Broadway but I completely forgot about his stint on GleeAnd I sure as hell forgot that he’s Kristoff in Frozen.

Mindhunter aside, Groff is such a gentle soul. He just looks like one of those people who wouldn’t hurt a fly. With a slew of upcoming titles to his name, Groff appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to chat about Mindhunter, Frozen, and Off-Broadway Little Shop of Horrors. He’s a busy bloke. But that didn’t stop him from recording a voice memo – song included – for Fallon’s daughters, Winnie and Franny. The angel even got the song, a personalised version of ‘Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People’ cleared with Disney first before performing it on the talk show.

This part of the interview begins around the 2.00 minute mark.

Jonathan Groff, I love you.

SO, time for a little Mindhunter discussion because it’s all I can think about right now. Towards the end of the interview, Fallon played a clip from season 2 which showed Ford and his partner Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) discussing a letter from the BTK Killer, Dennis Rader. Rader sent police a number of taunting letters, detailing and bragging about the murders he committed.

Though Mindhunter never explicitly confirmed it, a man appearing to be Rader featured in almost all of the first season’s cold opens.

Mindhunter season 2 will focus primarily on the Atlanta Child Murders. It will also see the continuation of the Behavioural Science Unit’s research into serial killers, which leads to a face to face interview with notorious cult leader Charles Manson (Damon Herriman).

Mindhunter season 2 will finally hit Netflix, August 16. That’s tomorrow.
