Jennifer Lopez Is Back On The Big Screen With A Peak Cheese & Wine Flick

The Wedding Planner, The Back-Up Plan, Maid in Manhattan, Monster-In-Law, What To Expect When You’re Expecting – just a couple of romcoms you’ve all definitely watched at some point in your life. Jennifer Lopez is the queen of romcoms and now she’s back with something a little different by the name of Second Act.

Though there is still a lovable man in this film by the name of Milo Ventimiglia – yes, Daddy from This Is Us and Jess from Gilmore Girls.

Also Vanessa Hudgens is randomly in this as is a way older Larry Miller – man from 99 per cent of romcoms out there.

This legend:

You heard the moose sound in your head, didn’t you?

Anywhoo, the film welcomes us into the life of Maya, a forty-something woman who after not getting a well-deserved promotion, lands one heck of an interview opportunity at a suave Manhattan office after her best mate’s son creates a very impressive, very fake LinkedIn and Facebook for her.

Maya’s new digital footprint includes a photograph with US President Barack Obama… which in this flick is understood to be edited but in real life… it’s probably real, TBH.

According to Maya’s LinkedIn she can also fluently speak Chinese so that’s not going to cause any trouble at all and she also has a business degree.

When the film was first announced back in 2017 Lopez said:

“There are so many things I love about this project and script. People try to put women to sleep at a certain age. ‘Second Act’ is a story that empowers the every woman to do more, to be more, and not limit their dreams.”

Always.

You can catch the trailer, below:

Also please note the trailer soundtrack includes the 1993 song Dreams by The Cranberries –  a peak 90s song included in cult romcoms during the time including You’ve Got Mail starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.

Yes, I did just reveal my lame and useless romcom knowledge.

LOVE IT.

Second Act is due in cinemas late 2018.
