Your Boy Jarrod From ‘The Bachelorette’ Wants To Become A Wedding Celebrant

It’s been a big couple of months for your boy Jarrod Woodgate – after having his heart crushed and failing to seal the deal with Sophie Monk on The Bachelorette, he now wants to marry YOU, revealing this week that his next big career goal is to become a wedding celebrant.

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, the 31-year-old revealed that he’d be down to help couples tie the knot at his family’s winery in GippslandVictoria. He explained:

“Business has picked up dramatically after the show with the combination of weddings to the point where I want to get a celebrant’s licence so I can marry people on the winery.”

Look, just because Sophie Monk had a nightmare date at the family manse, being interrogated by his mum Ann in the wine cellar and subjected to death by a thousand passive aggressive jabs, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a lovely day there with Jarrod as your wedding celebrant.

The Toms Cap Vineyard website boasts that the venue offers “beautiful settings for your wedding ceremony,” with lawns, gardens and a forest backdrop. Jarrod’s mum will even “assist you in bringing your wedding concept to life, and be on hand during the big day to make sure everything runs smoothly.”

We’re unsure whether the wine cellar interrogation is included in the basic package or if it costs extra, but we’re extremely tempted to find out.

Recent changes to Australian marriage law mean that same-sex couples are able to lodge their Notice of Intended Marriage paperwork right now, with the nation’s first official same-sex weddings set to begin taking place from January 9.

What that means is there’s literally no excuse for any of you not to use Jarrod as your wedding celebrant and then report back to us.

Woodgate, meanwhile, has recently returned from filming the first season of the Aussie Bachelor In Paradise in Fiji, telling Studio 10 that he’s “open to the idea of falling in love again.”
