Aussie Aquaman director James Wan has very politely reprimanded fans who are apparently laying into people who do not love his big watery boy/cool Poseidon movie, starring very handsome and charming guy Jason Momoa.

The flick has drawn some outrage from Marvel stans who are NOT INTERESTED in DC movies, and also just internet people who don’t like anything at all/can’t even be wooed by Momoa’s impressive rig.

Wan took to Twitter today to ask fans to take their ire down a few notches, and to ask people who want to be really vocal about how much they hated it to quit “attack[ing] me personally, or tag[ging] me on hates“.

Wow, cool it, guys.

It has come to my attention that some folks are getting harassed but some fans for not liking AQM. Please don’t do that. Not the kind of support I want. Be respectful. Vice versa, it’s ok to not like my film, but there’s no need to attack me personally, or tag me on hates. Peace

Despite the way the flick has been received – opinion is divided – plenty of people have gone in to watch the superhero blockbuster – earning it a reported $US665 million worldwide in just two weekends.

Other v. handsome Aquaman actor Patrick Wilson posted the milestone of $US666 million worldwide to Twitter yesterday, adding “Not that I’m superstitious…but can a fewww more of you please see Aquaman?

Wan, who directed fkn Saw, was less perturbed by the spookiest of numbers.
