Scottish delight James McAvoy appears to have suffered a slight double thigh injury fighting Pennywise the Dancing Clown on the set of IT: Chapter 2. He’s definitely okay, though.

McAvoy, who stars as Bill Denbrough in the (probably) terrifying sequel lightheartedly revealed he had sustained the injury in a photo showing off his quads and a couple of ice packs.
At first the 39-year-old posted the picture with the caption: “Love a Compresse Froide. Pulled my thighs fighting pennywise. #40yearoldclownfighter”
But after some serious and not so serious concern, McAvoy updated his post to write:
In the wake of underwhelming public concern but a couple of weirdly concerned internet celeb sites I’d like to let you all know that I’m Doing just fine. Slight double thigh strain, caught it early, no worries. Pennywise look out.
Chapter Two, directed by Andy Muschietti, picks up 27 years after the events of the first film when the members of the Losers’ Club are all grown up – Bill, Richie, Eddie, Beverly, Ben, Mike, and Stan.
Now adults, the Losers return to Derry determined to fulfil their blood pact – the one they made at the end of the first film – to finally defeat Pennywise when he re-emerges from his hellhole.
Co-starring alongside McAvoy is Jessica Chastain, our adopted Kiwi son Jay Ryan (Ben), Bill Hader (Richie), James Ransone (Eddie), and Andy Bean (Stan).
Oh, and Bill Skarsgård as It.
The original actors AKA the children will also reprise their roles in the sequel for a number of flashback scenes throughout the film.
IT: Chapter Two is set to scare you shitless September 6, 2019.
Meanwhile, filming for the BBC adaption of Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials has officially kicked off which also stars McAvoy as Lord Asriel so it’s busy, busy days for the actor.
The adaption will be an eight-part series and will co-star Logan break-out actor Dafne Keen, The Wire’s Clarke Peters, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The King’s Speech director Tom Hooper will helm the series on a script written by National Treasure writer Jack Thorne.
OH, and Glass will hit cinemas in early 2019.
