Here’s The 1st Look At Metallica’s James Hetfield In The Ted Bundy Biopic

When you’ve been a metal pioneer for the better part of 40 years, the only ‘extreme’ thing left is to don a tie and cop a short back and sides.

The first image of James Hetfield acting in the upcoming Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile has been released upon the masses, and it shows the Metallica frontman looking… normal.

An Instagram post from filmmaker Joe Berlinger captures Hetfield suited up as Officer Bob Hayward, the first law enforcement official to arrest the infamous serial killer. Beside the pair sits Zac Efron, who has the dubious honour of portraying Bundy himself.

Even though Hetfield could be mistaken for go-to film and TV dad John Corbett in the new sneak peak, Extremely Wicked… will actually be his first turn in a dramatic role. Berlinger, who also worked on the Metallica doco Some Kind Of Monster, figured the 54-year-old would bring a commanding presence to the role. TBH, we’re keen to see how it pans out.

Extremely Wicked… will also feature John Malkovich, Lily Collins, Kaya Scodelario, Jim Parsons, and Haley Joel goddamn Osment.

We’ll let you know if Efron returns the favour and fills in for Lars Ulrich behind the kit.
