In some even more Comic-Con news because there’s going to be a torrent of it over the weekend, Netflix has announced the return of Danny Rand (Finn Jones) – man with the Iron Fist for a whole new and surely better season two.

If you watched the first season then you’ll know it was on the vanilla side – it was shitty-good and you kept watching it because a) To witness Marvel getting it wrong for once and b) For the sake of continuity.
If your mind’s a bit foggy, season one of the show introduced us to mystery man Danny Rand, who rocks up (bare-footed!!!) in New York after presumably dying in a plane crush 15 or so years ago. He also happens to be the heir to very rich parents so upon his return, Danny’s pretty keen to take his rightful place and continue his family’s legacy.
During those 15 years, Danny was actually being trained by warrior monks to be an expert martial artist. Combine this with harnessing the power of the Iron Fist, evil businessman, some romance, The Hand, and a lot flashbacks and you get the gist.
Now Netflix and Marvel, appearing to notice how disappointing season one was compared to its Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Daredevil counterparts have unleashed a far more brooding and intense Danny Rand.
And he has better hair.
M. Raven Metzner has replaced Scott Buck as showrunner and is the writer behind 2005 Elektra and producer of the Sleepy Hollow series.
In this little teaser/date announcement Danny declares he’s dedicated to protecting his city and goes on to save a man from a mugging. Then oh no, he’s outnumbered…but out comes ~ the fist ~.
As Netflix describes: “This isn’t a fight. It’s just a warm-up.”

Lots of action is always good so fans are hoping this second season will suck a whole lot less.
