Telling the brawny mid-century tale of Ford‘s quest to beat the Italian automaker at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, the clip shows the figures behind the legendary Ford GT40: driver Ken Miles (Bale), tuner non pareil Caroll Shelby (Matt Damon), and former Ford exec Lee Iacocca (Jon Bernthal).
If you’re thinking this is perhaps the ultimate boomer movie, you’re not entirely wrong. Logan director James Mangold appears to have assembled a flick which is equal parts Rush, The Fast and the Furious, and maybe even a splash of Initial D. If that’s your bag, and if you froth the sound of a naturally-aspirated V8, prepare yourself for the flick’s Aussie debut on November 14.
