Hugh Jackman Tells Ryan Reynolds To Srsly Chill With The ‘Wolverine’ Talk

Today in Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds Have The Best Faux Feud Ever, ol’ mate Hugh hopped onto the Good Morning America show in Times Square to clap back at Deadpool front man, Ryan Reynolds for his continual insistence that a Wolverine x Deadpool thing has to happen.

Though a huge majority of people are pretty sure Hugh has hung up his adamantium claws for good, Ryan himself, still wants it to happen.

Imagine Ryan Reynolds bugging you about a group assignment for three years.

In response to this and the GMA host asking about the whole shebang, Hugh decided to stare straight into the barrel of the camera and talk directly to Ryan ‘Deadpool’ Reynolds:

“Ryan, hey buddy, how are ya mate? Ryan, I love you man. I love ‘Deadpool’ and I can’t wait to see the movie. You’re one of my best friends, Blake, the fam the whole thing but… back it up a little. It’s just… play hard to get. Play a little hard to get, it’s too much, it’s not sexy. Sorry bud.”

Sorry bud.

This faux feud has been going on since 2015 and honestly comes a close second to Ryan and Blake Lively trolling each other on Instagram.

It all started with this:

And has since included moments like this one:

It’s a wonder how the two haven’t worked on a movie together yet… unless Hugh is the secret celebrity cameo in Deadpool 2. If so, this is probably the greatest three-year-in-the-making advertising ever.

But look, I’m pretty sure Hugh is the cameo.

In a very suss Instagram post, Hugh wrote as his caption “I’m pretty busy doing some stuff” and then Deadpool conveniently appears in the shot like C’MON:

UGH.

Stay tuned for whatever’s next in this adorable friendship.

Deadpool 2 will hit cinemas May 18.
