Hugh Jackman Is A Pollie In A Sex Scandal In ‘The Front Runner’ Trailer

Hugh Jackman, the man we all love and sometimes hate because he’s too bloody nice, has a brand new movie coming out and it’s called The Front Runner.

Based on a true story, The Front Runner brings us back to the ’80s where Gary Hart (Jackman) is the front runner for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination. Everything’s going just swimmingly for Hart when suddenly he’s approached by a Miami Herald journo who appears to have photographic evidence of Hart’s alleged extramarital affair with author Donna Rice (Sarah Paxton).

What follows is his total downfall and what many people believe as the moment hard political journos begun reporting on the private lives of politicians.

As the trailer ends, you hear Hart say “there’s going to be a story tomorrow about me,” to his wife.

Shit’s about to go down.

J.K Simmons (Whiplash) plays Hart’s campaign manager Bill Dixon, while the amazing Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel) is Hart’s wife Lee Hart.

Juno, Up in the Air, and Tully director Jason Reitman helms the film while Kaitlyn Dever, Bill Burr, Alfred Molina, and Kaitlyn Dever co-star.

Awkwardly, or maybe not, Hart’s still alive so this should be fun for the family. It’s actually a very interesting story so if you’ve got a spare minute, chuck it into Google and have a read.

Or, you can check out the exclusive EW article – also very interesting.

In conclusion: Hugh Jackman, Vera Farmiga, J.K Simmons – yes, yes, and yes.

You can catch the trailer, below.

Quality.

The Front Runner will actually hit theatres in the United States in November AKA Election Day which is very fitting but for us – well, we’ll have to wait until Janurary, 2019.

Tell dad/mum/gran.
