Just A Bunch Of A+ Halloween Costume Ideas Based On Iconic TV Characters

Alright guys, Halloween is next week but since it falls on a Wednesday, most freaky festivities will most likely go down this weekend.

If you’ve left your costume to the last minute, you’re probz gonna be stuck rocking up as something extremely lame which will cop you a whopper of a roasting from your mates, right?

WRONG!

Prove that you’re a pop culture king / queen and tell your mates that you’ve had your costume sorted for months now by taking inspo from TV characters in iconic Halloween episodes via our pals at Stan.

BODY & SOUL (Will & Grace)

If couple dressing is your thing, emulate Jack and Karen‘s look in the fifth episode of season one, Boo! Humbug.

The iconic besties did their own rendition of body and soul with Karen rocking her bod and Jack dressed as David Soul, one half of ’70s TV duo Starsky and Hutch.

You’ll score bonus points if one of you sport an awful blonde wig à la Jack.

CATWOMAN (Friends)

Ok legit, I reckon Monica (Courteney Cox) did a better Catwoman than ALL of the famous Catwomen (minus Michelle Pfeiffer, obvs).

In the episode The One With The Halloween Party, Monica throws an epic spooky bash and the meticulous hostess went all-out on her own look and expected the same from her guests.

Shoutout to the scene where she chews Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) out for going as “a woman who spent a lot of money on a dress and she wants to wear it, because soon she won’t be able to fit into it.”

SUPERGIRL (Friends)

Monica’s bestie Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) dressed as Catwoman’s rival, Supergirl which, given the recent reboots, seems like a v. on topic costume option.

Also the likelihood of you finding a Superman, Batman or some other hero in the DC Universe on the night is quite high which would make for an excellent photo opp and talking point (especially if they’re cute).

CHANDLER (Friends)

In the same episode, Joey (Matt LeBlanc) has the ~genius~ idea of going as his pal Chandler (Matthew Perry) by wearing a look direct from the transponster’s wardrobe.

If you’re stuck on costume ideas, knock off a sweater vest and shirt from your uncle and go as ‘Joey dressed as Chandler’.

And if that doesn’t work, you could even take a leaf out of the pizza lover’s book and go as one of your mates.

JACK-O’-LANTERN (The Office)

The Office has a bloody hilarious Halloween ep in season nine called Here Comes Treble where Dwight (Rainn Wilson) wears a jack-o’-lantern pumpkin on his head.

So this is an incredibly easy costume because only one thing is a required: a pumpkin.

The downside? You’re stuck with your head up a gross hollowed out pumpkin for the entire night.

If you’re dead keen on this concept though then you’ll defo be able to find a pumpkin mask, hat or similar from your local costume or junk shop.

THREE-HOLE-PUNCH JIM (The Office)

In the season two episode Halloween, Jim (John Krasinski) really lives the theme of the brand / show by going as office equipment.

The dude simply cuts out three black paper circles and sticks them to his shirt, dubbing himself ‘Three-Hole-Punch Jim’.

Grab yourself a white shirt and have a quick and easy lil arts and crafts sesh for an instant, not to mention cheap as chips, costume.

ROSIE THE RIVETER (Parks & Recreation)

Here’s one that mimics one of the greatest fictional characters of all time as well as an empowering feminist icon.

History lesson: Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of World War II, representing the women who worked in factories and shipyards during the war.

Leslie (Amy Poehler) dresses as Rosie in the season five episode Halloween Surprise. Deck yourself out in denim and wack on a red bandana and you’re donezo.

Oh, and you absolutely MUST take a photo emulating the OG poster (I don’t make the rules, soz):

SEXY DRACULA (Community)

If you’ve got a great rig (actually fuck it, any build will do!) go as sexy Dracula, as seen on Troy (Childish Gambino) in the Halloween episode of CommunityEpidemiology.

The singer / actor gets his glorious abs out and dons a toilet seat cover with ‘Dracula’ written on it.

I mean, there’s no real correlation to Dracula here, but die-hard Community fans will absolutely get where you’re going with this.
