US TV network NBC have dropped the first promo shots of Golden Globes hosts Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg, and wow, with them at the helm, we might somehow make it through an entire awards ceremony without collapsing in boredom.

Cop these shots of the pair, all dressed up for their big night. The first is professional and adult. Then, the second, the duo pose, almost like they’re playing their cool TV characters, with Samberg smizing like sxc Jake Peralta in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Oh, intrigued and curious like Eve Polaski in Killing Eve.

The duo were first announced for the hosting gig at the beginning of this month, after first adding a bit of colour and faux drama to the Emmys back in September this year. Fingers crossed this goes so well they’re tapped to host the Oscars too.
The pair have already come at the gig with aplomb, Oh drawing an incredibly detailed portrait of her co-host, as well as posting a picture of her already petrified face eating breakfast on the morning of the announcement.

No worries Oh, you’ll be fine: you’ve already come up against Jodie Comer in this year’s incredible spy thriller Killing Eve/survived an incredibly high workplace death toll on Grey’s Anatomy. This should be easy!

Samberg’s previously hosted the whole damn Emmys, back in 2015, so obvs has the chops for it. We are ready for skits like this, but featuring Sandra Oh, our queen, who is also the first WoC to host the ceremony. And we haven’t seen a female host since Samberg’s SNL mates Amy Poehler and Tina Fey‘s three-year run, FIVE YEARS AGO, back in 2012-2014.
The 76th Golden Globes is due to air – in Australia anyway – on January 7. And A Star Is Born is expected to clean tf up. Ofc.
