The X-Files star has signed on to play the infamous Iron Lady, although Deadline reports that viewers will likely have to wait more than a year to see her join the show in its fourth season as the third season of the Left Bank drama hasn’t aired yet.

The third season of the Netflix drama begins in 1963 and will cover events such as the rise of the Beatles and England winning the soccer World Cup in 1966. Characters such as Camilla Parker Bowles, played by Call the Midwife‘s Emerald Fennell, will also emerge in the next season.

Meanwhile Olivia Colman replaces Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II and Tobias Menzies replacing Matt Smith as Prince Philip.

Actor Ben Daniels will play Antony Armstrong-Jones, starring alongside Helena Bonham Carter’s Princess Margaret.

The fourth season starring Anderson as the Iron Lady is likely to move into the 1970s as Thatcher served as Britain’s first female Prime Minister between 1979 to 1990.

Thatcher was previously portrayed by queen Meryl Streep in the 2011 British-French biographical drama film The Iron Lady who received critical acclaim for her take on the character.
