It’s all happening, folks. Netflix has unleashed a couple of shots from their upcoming series Umbrella Academy based on the comic series of the same name by Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance.

The live-action series, based on the Eisner award-winning comics and graphic novels, has a stellar cast led by none other than Ellen Page.
If you’re unfamiliar with the series, here’s how it goes…
In 1989 – on the same day – 43 babies are born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy before giving birth. Seven of these mysterious babies are adopted by one Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist responsible for creating The Umbrella Academy.
At the school, the children – all with their own unique abilities – learn to save the world but in their teenage years the family hits a wall and they decide to disband.
Years later, the six remaining members – all in their 30s now – reunite when their father suddenly dies in curious circumstances.
Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, David Castañeda, Aidan Gallagher, Cameron Britton, and Mary J. Blige star alongside Page.
Illustrator Gabriel Bá and Way both serve as executive producers and Steve Blackman (Fargo, Altered Carbon) helms the series.
