The teaser for the Game of Thrones season finale promises a meeting of pretty much every single one of the remaining characters in a stage we’ve not-yet-seen: the Dragonpit.
It looks like Dany‘s entire army – which now includes Jon Snow – has headed south to King’s Landing, to try and convince Cersei to lend her efforts to the war against the White Walkers. It takes exactly zero genius brain cells to guess this will not go well.
Grey Worm, the Unsullied and the Dothraki wait outside the castle, while inside the Dragonpit, Jon Snow, flanked by Tyrion, Davos, Brienne, Podric, Jorah, Theon, Missendei and the Dothraki leaders meets Queen Cersei, Jaime, and Qyburn.
“There is only one war that matters,” says Jon. “And it is here.”
Quite the reunion, no? It’s going to be the iciest Lannister meeting in recorded history.
We don’t see Dany, but chances are she’s off-screen somewhere with her remaining two dragons, waiting to swoop in and save the day, Deus ex Machina style. Again.
Meanwhile, Sansa wanders alone at Winterfell, and we don’t see a peep from Arya, Littlefinger or Bran. There is just absolutely no way this season will end without resolving something from the Stark-on-Stark discontent that’s brewing. Pray to the gods the sisters make the right call, and carve Littlefinger’s smug face right off his skull.
