Gal Gadot Reveals Your First Look At Wonder Woman In The Upcoming ‘1984’

Gal Gadot has taken to social media to grace us with our first official look at Wonder Woman in costume from the upcoming sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, captioning the image “she’s back.”

Her costume doesn’t appear to have changed all that radially from last time around, but she looks a hell of a lot shinier now, probably in keeping with the sequel’s ’80s setting.

The first images from Wonder Woman 1984, released earlier in the week, gave us a much more shadowy look at the title character, standing cryptically in front of a bank of TV screens:

We also got a look at Chris Pine‘s Steve Trevor, decked out in his finest ’80s gear in what appears to be an old-school shopping mall:

While all this stuff is great, the character we are really hanging out to see is the film’s villain, Cheetah, played by the iconic Kristen Wiig. Per the official character description, Cheetah, otherwise known as Barbara Ann Minerva, is:

“A British anthropologist who, after locating the lost city of Urzkartagan and stumbling into an ancient ritual, becomes the avatar of their Cheetah god.”

Principal photography on the film began this week in the UK, and the film is set to be released in November 2019.
