16 Hilariously Frustrated Reacts To Sam Ruining Gilly’s Bombshell On ‘GoT’

On tonight’s episode of ‘Game of Thrones‘,’Eastwatch‘, Cassie Gilly was just about to drop a goddamn bombshell, something that would shake-eth the whole of Westeros, when she was rudely interrupted by Sam, who apparently couldn’t give af about minor things like ierno, the babe Jon Snow‘s possible right to the Iron Throne.

How did we get here? Sam, studying to become a maester, has been ordered by Archmaester Ebrose to make copies of the Citadel‘s old records, as punishment for curing Jorah of greyscale AGAINST HIS WISHES in episode three (how dare he, gosh).  So, Gilly is reading them out for Sam to transcribe.  When she comes across a pretty interesting tidbit.

Here’s exactly how it went down.

Gilly: “What does ‘annulment’ mean?”
Sam: “It’s when a man sets aside his lawful wife.”
Gilly: “[High Septon] Maynard says here that he issued an annulment for a Prince ‘Ragger’ and remarried him to someone else at the same time in a secret ceremony in Dorne. Is that a common thing in the south, or—”

Did you just feel the earth wobble beneath you? Yeah, that’s the feeling of a truth bomb – ALMOST – being dropped.

It sounds like Gilly was just about to reveal that Snow’s dad Rhegar Targaryen divorced Elia Martell in order to marry Lyanna Stark, Snow’s ma – which would make Snow the rightful heir to the Throne…

Admittedly, not good news for Daenerys, but pretty good news for this hunk o’ man meat:

But, but, but, Sam interrupted Gilly before she got to saying Stark’s name in order to complain about being forced to transcribe while “the secret to defeating the Night King is probably sitting on some dusty shelf somewhere, completely ignored!

Shut up, Sam, I hate you.
