‘Stranger Things’ Star Finn Wolfhard Joins Stacked Cast For ‘The Goldfinch’

YES YES YES THIS IS EXTREMELY GOOD NEWS.

Stranger Things and It star Finn Wolfhard has joined the cast of The Goldfinch, the adaptation of Donna Tartt‘s best-selling novel that you need to read (or re-read) right the hell now.

It tells the story of Theo – played by Ansel Elgort – a young man caught up in a terrorist attack at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and accidentally acquires a priceless painting. It follows his bouncing from home to home and eventual descent into crime and New York City’s underground art world, and honestly, the book is phenomenal.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wolfhard will be playing a young Boris, a Ukrainian student Theo meets in Las Vegas who introduces him to drugs, alcohol and crime.

Dunkirk actor Aneurin Barnard is already onboard to play the older Boris, and tbh, we can absolutely see it.

Sarah Paulson, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Wilson and Ashleigh Cummings are all already on board. The film is slated for release in 2019 and due to begin shooting later this month. Cannot freaking wait.
