Check Out The New ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald’ Trailer

During their Comic Con panel this weekend, Warner Bros gave fans a look at a brand new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald, the extremely necessary sequel to the first movie, and the second of five planned films in the series.

Like its predecessor, this film is set in the 1920s, and features the perpetually-slightly-concerned-looking Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) teaming up with a handsome young iteration of Dumbledore (Jude Law) to take on Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).

Based on a script by J.K. Rowling and once again directed by David Yates, this one moves the action from New York to Paris, and centres around Grindelwald’s plan to amass an army of magical folks to rule over all non-magical people.

I have a low-key feeling that this was the plot of the later Harry Potter movies and that we might be treading over some of the same magical ground here, but whatever, I’m not going to tell these professional film-makers how to do their jobs.

Anyway, yes, if you want to see a wholesome family film that features Johnny Depp and no gay stuff, then enjoy this trailer:

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald also stars Katherine WaterstonAlison SudolDan FoglerZoe KravitzEzra Miller, Callum Turner, and Claudia Kim, and is in cinemas November 15.
