Fan-Fave ‘Game Of Thrones’ Director Behind THAT Episode, Confirmed For S8

For fans of the epic dragons and boobs drama Game of Thrones, The Long Night is truly here.

And no, we’re not talking about the Westerosi period of terrible darkness, we’re talking the long AF wait we have ahead until GoT returns to our screens, possibly as late as 2019.

Me for the next two years.

Whilst we wait it out, any and all news regarding the next and final season of HBO’s hit show is of utmost importance, and today we have some fresh goss on the bunch of directors set to helm the last six episodes.

In an Instagram posted by GoT cinematographer Fabien Wagner, several fellow production buddies can be seen, along with the caption “Back on Game of Thrones for prep of the final season and the team is back together.”

With no offence to the other, no doubt super talented peeps, the most notable name amongst the bunch is Miguel Sapochnik, regarded amongst fans as one of the series best directors, known for epic battle-centric episodes Hardholme and Battle Of The Bastards.

Everyone else in that pic, do not read this!!!

Miguel, hello.

Both episodes are consistently rated as fan favourites, with season six’s penultimate Battle Of The Bastards one of the show’s most visually inventive and spectacular, seeing the British filmmaker take home the Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.

Lock in yr boi Miguel for season 8, friends! Obvs, we knew there’d be some huge fuck-off battles ahead of us, but now we know they’re going to be in the safest hands in the biz.

BRING IT THE FUCK ON!
