Disney+ Will Bin The Binge And Release Episodes Weekly Instead Of All At Once

Disney+

I don’t know about you guys but I am absolutely getting Disney+. This isn’t a sponsored post or anything like that, I’m just a slut for Disney content. And now that we have an official Australian release date for the new streaming service – November 19 – I am gobbling up every little piece of related news I can. Which brings me to this: Disney+ will release episodes of its original content weekly, not all at once.

This model isn’t anything new but it sure is surprising considering Netflix’s binge-it-all-at-once-or-oh-fuck-spoilers alternative.

The news was announced over the weekend at Disney’s y’uge D23 expo but amid the Lizzie McGuire reboot, the trailers, the actors, and well everything else, this itty bitty detail got lost.

Sources confirmed the news to TVLine, so there goes my plan to binge The Mandalorian all at once.

Disney+ will set you back $8.99 a month, or $89.99 per year. The choice is yours.

The service will be available across iOS, Apple TV, Android TV, Playstation, Xbox, and Chromecast to name a couple.

Over the weekend, Disney announced a bunch of new content like an original series about Obi-Wan Kenobi starring the one and only Ewan McGregorour first look at Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil, and a new reality series from Kristen Bell. OH, and we also copped a lil’ look at Jeff Goldblum‘s new original series The World According To Jeff Goldblum.

I really did just cherry pick four new things so if you’re interested, head to the Disney+ (@disneyplus) Twitter account to have a peek at all the beauties.

As of Monday, 26 August, there’s still 84 days until Disney+ is unleashed across Australia.

You can watch the countdown in real time / learn more about the streaming service right here.

All I care about is The Mandalorian trailer right now so let’s watch it again. It’s trending at No. 1 on YouTube at the moment which pretty much sums it up.
