And we finally have a release date, mates. Netflix‘s Daredevil season three will hit the streaming service October 19.

HELL YEAH.

Netflix announced the news overnight accompanied with a brand new trailer for the hit Marvel series.

Refreshingly, the trailer itself doesn’t give too much away but what we do definitely know is that Matt Murdock, otherwise known as Daredevil (Charlie Cox), is covered in blood a lot.

As he tells us, he’s going to defeat evil “for good”.

Like the little teaser at the end of Iron Fist season two, we see Daredevil in his old mask from season one, sitting in a confessional booth. Speaking of which, I’m pretty sure we don’t see Daredevil’s red suit anywhere in this trailer.

We also cop an ever so brief look at a man who might just be Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) suiting up – our intense, creepy, and excellent villain from season one. Although, Fisk was in prison the last time we saw him so it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out… if it does.

But that’s not all, Marvel also unleashed a new official poster and it’s very on theme.

“Do not fear the dark. Become it.”

To continue on with this religious theme, Daredevil’s Twitter account shared the trailer to their feed last night with the caption:“Deuteronomy 30:15”.

The Bible verse: “See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.”

Not to mention their Twitter header image is a picture of a headstone in the shape of a cross with the words, “Let there be darkness” above it.

Daredevil season three will hit Netflix October 19.
