‘Daredevil’ Season Three Will Definitely Hit Netflix Sometime This Year

When San Diego Comic-Con came and went and Netflix still hadn’t announced season three of Daredevil, people started to get concerned. We got a whole bunch of stuff from DC’s superheroes including the trailers to Aquaman and Shazam but nothing from Marvel/Netflix and the people’s first Defender. Although, they did chuck us a coupla teasers for Iron Fist but eh.

But now and according to ComicBook.comwe at least know season three is on its almighty way to the streaming giant.

Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos confirmed the show’s return during a Q2 Earnings call:

“In the short term, we’ve got new seasons coming up, in the second half of this year, of OzarkIron FistDaredevilNarcos, the finale of House of Cards, the follow-up series to Making a Murderer.

So, Daredevil is definitely happening this year – we just don’t know when exactly.

The second season of Jessica Jones premiered March, Luke Cage season two hit the service in June, Iron Fist will return in September so it’s looking to be either November/December.

It has been quite a while since season two of Daredevil aired (March 2016), I honestly am blanking but I’m pretty sure season two involved a lot of Matt (Charlie Cox) running off with Elektra (Élodie Yung) and Foggy (Elden Henson) getting frustrated. Then there’s the Hand, the mystery of the Black Sky, the boys’ law firm going down, and Matt revealing himself as Daredevil to Karen (Deborah Ann Woll).

OH, and then Elektra dies, is buried, and then un-buried by the Hand, and placed in some sort of sarcophagus.

Yes? No? Well, either way it’s time to binge the seasons again.

Keep your eyes peeled, November/December is looking likely for Daredevil season three.

As for Iron Fist, here’s this Memories Teaser Netflix whipped up:

Jury’s still out for this but after Danny’s appearance in Luke Cage, a number of punters are expecting great things for season two.
