If you’ve given Iron Fist season two a shot and binged it all the way to the very end, you may have caught the post-credit scene… where one Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil appears.

It goes for less than a minute and shows a bloodied Daredevil sitting in a confessional booth in what looks like his mask from season one.
Murdock says darkly to the priest:
“I once believed that justice could be found in a court of law and in the light of day. But I was fooling myself.
“Darkness only responds to darkness. And the truth is I’d rather die as the Devil than live as Matt Murdock.”
OOOOFT.

Then this happened.
Season two of Daredevil aired back in March 2016 but if memory serves me well, Daredevil defeated The Hand and was briefly reunited with his ol’ mate Elektra (Élodie Yung). Then, in no particular order, Elektra dies, is buried, and then dug back up and placed in a mysterious sarcophagus, the Nelson and Murdock law firm is no more, and Daredevil reveals himself to Karen (Deborah Ann Woll).
In other words, lots of shit went down so that may explain the very dark Daredevil.
Season three will finally hit Netflix sometime this year.
The series will also feature at this year’s New York Comic-Con so maybe expect a trailer then. Other shows at the event will include Gerard Way‘s (My Chemical Romance) The Umbrella Academy, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Big Mouth,and The Haunting of Hill House.
