Danny DeVito, the myth, the man who inspired a full-blown college bathroom shrine, the legend, has joined the cast of the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sequel.

Director Jake Kasdan is returning to helm the flick while Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Kevin Hart are all set to make us giggle again.

The Rock, pretty damn hyped about DeVito’s role, told Variety“The magic of ‘Jumanji’ is who becomes who. And the idea of Danny DeVito joining our cast was too irresistible and something we knew we wanted to deliver to our audience this upcoming Christmas. Dwanta Clause loves everyone.”

And we love Dwanta Clause.

This excellent news comes just a day after Crazy Rich Asians star Awkwafina joined the cast.

Earlier today, the legend celebrated the news on Instagram by re-posting Johnson’s congratulatory post: “And so it begins! Thank you @therock for your words and also for being the coolest human being on Earth. Stoked for the journey!!

As for the sequel plot and character details – well, it’s still early days so the crew’s all tight-lipped about it.

In the meantime, there’s only a couple of months left before we can catch DeVito in Disney‘s live-action Dumbo. He stars as ringmaster Max Medici and is joined by fellow stars Eva Green, Colin Farrell, and Michael Keaton.

Earlier today, Disney shared some brand new character posters and just look ! at ! Dumbo !

Dumbo flies into cinemas March 29, 2019.
