We imagine it would be flattering to have your impression of Charles Manson featured in a major Hollywood production. But starring in two projects as the infamous cult leader? That just seems ominous.
And that’s a situation Australian actor Damon Herriman is now dealing with.
Collider reports Herriman, who was this week revealed as the actor playing Manson in Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, is also playing Manson in Season 2 of Netflix’s Mindhunter.
Citing a source close to the show’s production, Herriman signed on to play Manson well before he was plucked into Tarantino’s project, and actually completed filming his scenes for David Fincher‘s hit last month.
It’s yet to be seen how either project will respond to the high-profile double-billing. It’s not immediately clear if both projects were aware of the situation, and representative for Netflix didn’t offer any insight to Collider.
Mindhunter‘s second outing hasn’t yet received a debut date, but Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is expected to premiere in US cinemas July 26 next year.
