Courtney Act, known locally as a performer on season one of Australian Idol and to the world as a finalist from RuPaul’s Drag Race, has suffered a truly epic wardrobe malfunction while preparing the enter the UK Celebrity Big Brother house, with her skirt ripping away in front of a live TV audience.

The queen, otherwise known as Shane Jenek, was one of several new contestants preparing to enter the house when the incident occurred – while waving to crowds, she appeared to trip on her heel, ripping the fabric of her garment away in the process to expose her bare legs and her tuck.

Tucking, commonly discussed on RuPaul’s Drag Race, is the practice of concealing male genitals, sometimes with the aid of tape or clothing, to achieve a more feminine look. The physical aspects of tucking have been described as:

“… putting one’s penis between and behind one’s legs, so that it’s not visible from the front of the body. Some people push their testicles back as well, while others move them upward and rest them on the lower part of their abdomen before securing them in place.”

Courtney appeared deeply flummoxed when her skirt came away, grabbing the fabric around her while making a mad dash around the stage, although as a seasoned professional who has walked many, many runways in her day, it’s hard to say if this particular wardrobe malfunction was entirely spontaneous.

“Oh my god, I think we’ve just peaked”, said host Emma Willis, not incorrectly, as the whole thing went down. Courtney certainly served some epic face as it happened, and it has gotten her on the front page of pretty much every publication over the weekend, so either way, we salute her.

I mean, this mug will launch a thousand memes, and as we speak, all the other Drag Race queens are screaming because they didn’t come up with this idea first (for sheer drama and impact, it beats the Roxxxy Andrews wig reveal, but only just).

Courtney Act has also appeared on the MTV reality show Single AF, and performs in AAA Girls alongside Alaska and Willam. After this, she will probably be everywhere.
