Your boy Chris Pine is out hitting the talk show circuit for his new historical drama Outlaw King, a film I hadn’t even heard of until a minute ago, but now I’m fully invested in it, for reasons that should become fairly apparent fairly soon.
Pine was on The Graham Norton Show, talking about the Netflix movie’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and the enthusiastic reception it received there.
“There’s a scene in the film where I’m …” he says, before fellow guest Sally Field cuts him off, yelling “… naked!” Wow, today I also learned that veteran actress Sally Field is my thirsty godmother. What an exhilarating time to be alive.
ANYWAY. Chris Pine went on to say that, since the film’s premiere, he’s received a LOT of attention on social media, including thirsty Tweets from such reputable organisations as Vanity Fair. “They’re funny,” he said of the reactions. “They’re ‘effin brutal.”

Outlaw King is set in the 1300s, and features Pine as real-life Scottish king Robert The Bruce, who finds himself in a battle with King Edward I of England, and his son the Prince of Wales. It is due to premiere on Netflix on November 9.
