The Avengers star, who is quite the funny man, re: Thor: Ragnarok, posted a couple of photos with Smith looking as cheeky as ever. It’s not yet known who he’ll be starring as – if Hemsworth will be a parody of himself, an original character, or simply cameo.

“The man, the myth, the legend. The one and only Kevin Smith!!!” Hemsworth captioned his post. “Stoked to be a part of his next film Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. What a pleasure it was hanging out mate.”

Smith replied: “My god (of Thunder) you were phenomenal! Many thanks, sir. But next time you face Thanos, aim for the head.”

As well as starring as the titular character alongside Jason Mewes, Smith is also writing and directing the film. Co-stars include Joe Manganiello (Magic Mike), Craig Robinson (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Frankie Shaw, and Stephen Blatt to name a few.

Back in January, Smith shared a photo from – as he put it – “pre-pre-production” with producer Jordan Monsato.

Per Varietythe synopsis reads:

In Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, Jay and Silent Bob find out that Hollywood is making a reboot of that old movie that they had made about them, and they have to go across the country to Hollywood to stop it all over again. It’s literally the same fucking movie all over again. It’s a movie that makes fun of sequels and remakes and reboots while being all three at the same time.

Well, there ya go.

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is expected in cinemas later this year.
