The Trailer For Netflix’s ‘Castlevania S2’ 100% Makes Up For That Long Ass Wait

Netflix has finally dropped the trailer to the long-awaited season two of Castlevania – the English anime series based on the vintage videogame of the same name.

Earlier this month Powerhouse Animations announced the second season would hit the streaming giant on October 26, in time for Halloween which is fitting.

In reality, it’s only been a year-long wait but Netflix decided to unleash only four episodes in season one. FOUR – all only lasting about 23 minutes which means you could roughly binge the series (without even trying to) in about two hours and then sit back and wonder what the hell you’re supposed to do until season two comes along.

Well, wonder no more.

The incredibly bloody series has the voice talents of Richard Armitage (Ocean’s 8, The Hobbit, North and SouthGraham McTavish (Outlander, The Hobbit, RamboAlejandra Reynoso (Winx Club !!!), and James Callis (Bridget Jones’s Diary, Battlestar Galactica, Austenland).

In season one, Castlevania tells the story of Trevor Belmont (Armitage) who is an incredibly bitter and rusty vampire hunter. Belmont, though initially reluctant, fights to save a falling city from an army of demons controlled by none other than Dracula (McTavish) himself.

In season two, Belmont teams up with Seeker Sypha (Reynoso) and Dracula’s charming son, Alucard (Callis) to try and defeat daddy dearest who’s gone absolutely batshit.

Enjoy the trailer, it honestly feels longer than the entirety of season one – I’m not salty at all:

Keen.

Thankfully and unlike season one, the second season of Castlevania will have eight delightful episodes as announced by the Netflix panel at the 2018 Anime Expo.

October 26, folks.

Season one of Castlevania is available now on Netflix for your viewing pleasure.
