Busy Tonight premiered on tellies in late October 2018 and has since welcomed a string of huge names onto its couch including Julia Roberts, Mindy Kaling, Vanessa Hudgens, Kristen Bell, John Stamos, Kim Kardashian West, and Tina Fey.

Philipps’ last episode on the network will be on May 16.

“It’s the perfect dress for both the Ren Fair AND to let you know my show Busy Tonight won’t be returning to the E network after May 16,” Philipps wrote on Instagram.

“We have 8 more shows on E and then who knows what the future will bring.”

On her Instagram story, a clearly disappointed Philipps opened up further about the show’s cancellation.

“We’re now meeting with people and seeing if there’s another place for it go because I would like to continue doing it,” she said.

It is kind of wild because we’ve only been doing the show for a relatively short period of time. And, in that time we’ve been able to accomplish so much creatively and culturally.

I’m so proud of all the thing’s we’ve done and been able to do and I feel like the show’s really successful in that way.

She continued: “I hope that we can continue to do this show somewhere else.”

“I love our show, I really do, I love what we’ve done in a relatively short period of time. It’s crazy.”

The last episode of Busy Tonight – for now – will air on May 16.
