The Flawless Bishes Of ‘Broad City’ Reveal Their Final Season Premiere Date

The fifth and final season of Broad City is due to start up on January 24, we now know thanks to a wee video from stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, which cuts together the MANY scenes of the two running to or from something in New York City.

Wow, I always thought they just smoked a lot of weed and spoke to the power of female friendship, but yeah, running’s apparently a massive feature of the series.

What can we expect? Presumably more hijinks and sex positivity, none of which could ever drive a wedge between Abbi and Ilana, the characters, not the stars.

Also hopefully more stellar guest stars: season four’s included Steve Buscemi, Mike Birbiglia, Fran Drescher, and Shania Twain.

I am both deeply excited to see if anything can match up to last season’s ‘Mushrooms’ episode, and very, very sad thinking about the special episode they’ve no doubt concocted for the series finale.

So far Jacobson and Glazer are keeping mum about what’s in store, saying only that “It’s very good.

The season wrapped filming early this week. A picture from set confirms the return of everyone’s faves, from Hannibal Buress to Paul W. Downs, Arturo Castro and John Gemberling. The show posted videos from some of the cast saying goodbye to their Instagram Stories earlier today.

Here’s Castro, who plays Ilana’s roommate, Jaimé: “We’re so grateful to everybody that watched, this show made all my dreams come true, and I hope you enjoy the last season.

Buress, “the greatest actor of this generation“, said: “It’s been a hell of a ride, thank you all for watching and I’m excited for you to see it.

Gemberling is the most emotional: “I’m excited for you to see season five but I’m sad because it’s ending too, and I don’t want it to be over.

Downs must be joking when he pulls out this one, based entirely off Glazer’s laughter: “We have a lot of deaths and a lot of weddings, so find out who dies and find out who survives…

Season five is expected to air in Australia on the Comedy Channel on Foxtel.
