Bradley Cooper Says He’s Bulk Keen To Duet W/ Lady Gaga Live At The Oscars

In case you hadn’t heard already, A Star Is Born is good. Good enough that it already seems to be a serious contender at next year’s Academy Awards, with critics suggesting it could notch a debut Best Director nomination for Bradley Cooper, along with a Best Actress nomination for triple-threat Lady Gaga.

Oh, Best Picture isn’t out of the question, either.

Of course, the entire picture is built on music, particularly the moments when six-time Grammy Award winner Gaga links up with the very talented Cooper. Now, the pair have revealed that if highlight track Shallow notches a Best Original Song nomination, they might actually team up live on stage.

Speaking to Variety, Gaga said she is “one hundred percent” keen to belt out the track at the ceremony. Cooper doubled down on that position, saying he’s already envisioned the song’s performance as a full-on production.

“We talked about that actually, because I’m such a maniac,” Cooper said, admitting “I started texting her the whole pitch of how we should do it.

“So we’ll see. There might be a cool, unorthodox way we could perform it.”

An Oscars performance of the track would likely boost A Star Is Born‘s soundtrack further, even after it secured top billing on Billboard‘s album chart – and Gaga’s fifth #1 record in her career.

Whether Cooper’s cool and unorthodox presentation mimics one of A Star Is Born‘s key scenes – where his character Jackson Maine, intoxicated and dealing with substance abuse issues, wets his pants on-stage at the Grammy Awards – is yet to be seen.
