Ah yes, The Horse Show™ is coming back, for yet another round of gut-punching emotional trauma and animal puns.
Netflix has confirmed that BoJack Horseman will return for a fifth season, after the show’s fourth outing tore into the damaged protagonist’s family history and even teased a tenable future for the BoJack clan.
Spoilers ahoy, but the streaming platform made the reveal with a Twitter vid hinting at Philbert, the gritty cop drama washed-up actor BoJack (Will Arnett) signed on to in the final eps of Season 4.
And BoJack ignored the messages. Of course.

The show’s real-world actors have made some pretty chuffed posts about the renewal, too. Arnett mirrored his animated equine:

While Mister Peanutbutter’s voice actor Paul F. Tompkins was also pretty stoked. I mean, he’s Mister Peanutbutter. He’d have to be stoked.

Season 4 has received fan and critical praise, especially for its exploration of dementia. Despite the season’s bittersweet-leaning-on-optimistic ending, expect S5 to be brutal. Oh, expect more puns, too.
