Blake’s ‘Bachie’ Debrief Is Essentially Just Him Hanging Shit On Jarrod

In the past week, we’ve learned there are four ways to leave The Bachelorette mansion:

  1. In total anonymity after being cast aside in the opening three episodes;
  2. Outside the sacred confines of the rose ceremony after some decidedly onerous behaviour;
  3. Like fan-favourite James Trethewie, who showered Sophie Monk with praise – and subtly angled for a turn on The Bachelor;
  4. Or, like Blake Colman, who backed himself to the nth degree and seemed to slag off his enemies in the process.

On last night’s episode, Colman was cut loose, and seemed to make things mighty uncomfortable for everyone involved. Now, his post-booting comments cement the opinion many viewers formed during the season: the fella is a little salty, and doesn’t mind showing it.

In an interview with PopSugar, the 29-year-old practically spent as much time slagging off competitor Jarrod Woodgate as, you know, showering praise on Australia’s unelected leader Monk.

After discussing the hometown visits – “our little date was dope” – Colman got stuck into the fact that bloody Jarrod was given precedence, saying “I was just very, very surprised and shocked. No one wants to have Jarrod stay and you go, you know?”

It didn’t end there. After claiming Woodgate said he’d “bash” competitor Samual Cochrane, Colman claimed “Jarrod kept on pushing my buttons and I told him exactly how I felt.”

On Woodgate’s open devotion to Monk, Colman said the whole deal was “weird”. As for the pot plant situation, Colman refused to say who pissed on the poor little sapling, only claiming it wasn’t him.

Somehow, that simmering anger also manifested itself in his traditional post-show Instagram post. If you’ll allow us to act as your designated Petty Detectives™, you’ll notice Colman managed to tag remaining competitors Stu Laundy and Apollo Jackson, while omitting Woodgate.

That’s not an accident, because Jarrod Woodgate’s Instagram handle isn’t hard to find. As we reported here, it’s, uh, @jarrodwoodgate.

Good-o. We suppose we’ll keep you posted if the remaining blokes also use their post-departure messages to tear down their on-screen nemesis.
